Privacy Policy

The entire CIRCA model is based on trust and transparency. At its heart CIRCA is a platform built to support creativity and create a place where work can be shared and valued by all. It is also in large part a response to digital failing as a way to see work in the best possible way – but we do rely on digital to spread the word, and as a way for you to buy and communicate with us. We understand for all the positives digital has to offer there are some downsides, that over time seem to be getting worse.

It feels like every week we "receive notice" about our personal information being compromised, or how it is being sold on the “Dark Web”. To protect your data when you interact with CIRCA, we won’t keep your personal data on our systems. If we don’t have it, we can’t lose it. The downside is we won’t remember your interactions (because we aren’t saving them) – so you will have to enter your details each time you come back and purchase from us. We think it’s a small sacrifice for peace-of-mind.

So, what happens to the data you do enter (Your personal details and payment information). We use a very well established and supported payment platform. When you enter your payment details at the CIRCA check out that information is sent through a payment gateway for encryption, and forwarded to the payment processor. So CIRCA never stores your payment details on our servers.

The CIRCA digital experience is simple on purpose — our focus is the printed edition and the products and experiences we build around it. We use cookies in a very limited way. The cookies we do use are there to speed up the experience. As you can tell from our printed edition, we don’t have a relationship with advertising, so we don’t create CIRCA ads. We won’t follow you onto other sites showing you things you just looked at. We won’t message you to tell you “Your Cart” is still full. You won’t see an Ad for Circa on another site, period. If you sign-up for our email newsletter, we won't sell your email to someone else. It will only be used for us to stay in touch with you and let you know whats going on at CIRCA.
